We are seeking a part-time Quran teacher at the Rabata Cultural Center to bring love and joy into Quran learning! The role will include teaching women and children Quran recitation and memorization. Teachers will work with students in whole group settings, small groups, and one-on-one. Candidates with strong communication skills, prior teaching experience, and excellent tajwid skills will stand out. A positive attitude, love for the Quran, and passion for sharing this love will make you successful in this role.
Responsibilities
- Teach women and children Quran recitation and memorization
- Implement interactive activities to engage students
- Assess student knowledge and provide positive, effective feedback to support student learning and growth
- Work with students in whole group settings, small groups, and one-on-one
- Utilize online learning platforms
- Follow up with students (or their parents) throughout their learning experience
- Establish a welcoming environment at the Rabata Cultural Center
- Attend meetings and trainings as assigned
- Submit reports and meet deadlines
- Collaborate with internal Rabata teams
Skills
- Knowledge and application of tajwid rules
- Experience teaching Quran reading, tajwid, and/or memorization
- Comfortable with technology
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments and flexibility to adapt to changes
