RabataCare
RabataCare is our promise to uphold the sacred trust of zakat. Every dollar designated as a zakat donation is distributed, in full, to eligible Muslim women in need. No administrative fees are withheld and no funds are used for organizational or programming expenses.
During Ramadan 2025, $280,268.95 zakat funds were donated to RabataCare, serving 50 women in need. These funds are already at work helping women find stability, support, and a path forward. Rabata accepts zakat donations all year. Zakat donations are tax-deductible. Rabata is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, EIN: 46-4208628.
Zakat is a pillar of Islam made fard (obligatory) on individuals who have reached a certain amount of wealth. Generally, Zakat is calculated at 2.5% of a person’s accumulated wealth over the year, including savings, investments, gold, silver, and nonessential property. Many resources are available online to help you calculate this amount, including zakat.org
Sadaqa is giving in charity. This is an optional and highly rewarded gesture. Sadaqa jaariya is a charity that you give that can provide continuous reward (inshaAllah) even after your death. Sadaqa can be in many forms – from smiling to volunteering and giving money. For sadaqa donations, you can visit rabata.org/support.

"I have been so stressed about the surgery and was even thinking [of] delaying it, even though they told me it could turn into an emergency where maybe they couldn’t save me, and I could literally die. Subhanallah, this is exactly how much I needed to take off the full time they want me out of work to recover. Alhamdulillah, I am crying so hard. May Allah bless you all, thank you so much. Jazak Allah khair."
"Alhamdulillah! Tears came... then sujood. I am indeed a grateful slave. This will take so much weight off of my neck! From sources you can’t imagine. Allah sent me to RabataCare. I knew He SWT would take care of me and the kids. Allahu Akbar! So very grateful. I pray Allah continues to grant this organization tawfiq with abundant reward."
