Anse Tasneem Naji serves as a Tajwīd instructor with Rabata Cultural Center. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Special Education and then completed her graduate studies in School Psychology.
Syrian-American, growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, Anse Tasneem spent many of her childhood summers in Syria. She found great benefit in visiting her family, reconnecting with her culture, and building up her deen during these times with the guidance of wonderful female teachers.
Anse Tasneem has been blessed to attend Islamic schools for her K-12 schooling in the US, and has always made an effort to continue her Islamic and Arabic studies. Anse Tasneem earned an ijāza in al-Qāʿida al-Nūrāniyya.
During the school year, Anse Tasneem works as a school psychologist. She currently lives with her husband in Minnesota and enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and hiking.
Anse Tasneem began teaching with Rabata in the summer of 2023.
