Projects and Events Coordinator

POSITION: The Projects and Events Coordinator will carry out various administrative services for assigned projects and will plan, organize, and direct execution of special projects, events, and requests.

– Leads an interdepartmental and collaborative team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
– Fulfills, whether by performing or procuring, needs for various administrative services in assigned projects and events.
– Identifies needs, makes recommendations for, and facilitates the procurement of materials, equipment, and other goods.
– Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project – Coordinates and/or performs space-use analysis, inventory, and similar assessments for facilities to support projects and events.
– Collaborates with other departments and staff to draft and execute budgets for assigned projects.
– Coordinates and manages all aspects of assigned projects to ensure timely completion within available budget.
– Attends planning and development meetings and other events involving business operations on behalf of the Director or other assigned leadership staff as needed.
– Outlines the tasks involved in the project or event and executes or delegates accordingly
– Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices Performs other related duties as assigned.

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

– Basic understanding of office management and institutional management practices and procedures. – Ability to create, understand, and implement a budget.
– Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
– Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
– Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
– Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
– At least three years of related experience preferred Physical Requirements:
– Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
– This position is not a virtual position, though some duties may be managed virtually
– Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

The Projects and Events Coordinator will report to the Rabata Cultural Center Manager and is a member of Rabata Inc. Team.
