Ustadha Sadaf Syed (Um Talhah) serves as an Arabic instructor at the Ribaat Academic Institute. She holds an ijāza in the Asharah Qira’aat (10 Recitations) of the Blessed Qur’an and is certified in teaching Tajwīd and Arabic grammar from Saudi Arabia. She holds a Bachelors degree in Islamic Sharīʿa from Mishkah University and is currently working on her Masters from the Islamic Seminary of America (TISA). She is also pursuing extensive tafsir studies at the Al-Salam Institute under Sh. Akram Nadwi and extensive fiqh studies under Sh. Tahir Wyatt.
Alhamdulillah she holds the many titles of writer, speaker, teacher, mosque tour guide, Hajj & Umrah guide, motivational speaker but none that she holds as dear as mama to her 4 amazing and examplary Muslim youths. She has spent the last 30 years studying under various scholars and institutes both in the U.S and abroad. She has been teaching Arabic, Quran, and Islamic sciences in the US and overseas for the past 20 years alhamdulillah. She specializes in helping people connect back to the basics of Islam, specifically with their relationship with Allah.
